December 7 is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, marking the anniversary of the attack that killed 2,403 Americans and led the United States to declare war on Japan. In the decades since, more than 400 films have been set during World War II. We’ll sample scores from Pearl Harbor, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Dunkirk, Flags of Our Fathers, Valkyrie, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler’s List, Midway, Patton, and Victory at Sea.
