Six Partitas
Program: Biscuits & Bach
Aired: Sunday, January 24, 2021 @ 7:00 am
Hosted by Rachel Stewart
Some 24 years ago, Canadian-born, London-based pianist Angela Hewitt recorded the Six Partitas by J.S. Bach. With more experience and mature musicianship under her belt, she decided to revisit these works on her 2019 recording. We'll listen to several selections this week.
And Rachel talks with food writer and barbecue expert Robert Moss about barbecue's famous sidekick, Brunswick Stew. He'll tell us a little about its origins.
