Enjoy a morning filled with joyful celebrations of Easter. Highlights include Biber's "Mystery Sonata XII: The Ascension," William Byrd's "Christus resurgens," selections from Handel's "The Resurrection" and "Messiah," as well as Bach's Cantata BWV 31: "The heavens laugh! The earth rejoices" and Easter Oratorio BWV 249.
Scott Allen Jarrett, artistic director of Bach Akademie Charlotte, joins us to talk about that organization's return to live performances and about Bach's Easter Oratorio.
