WDAV Postpones Fall Fundraising Campaign

Today was supposed to be the beginning of our Fall Campaign. However, in light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina, upstate South Carolina, and other areas, we have decided to postpone our on-air fundraiser. We recognize that many of WDAV’s listeners live in these areas or have family and friends affected by this tragedy. If you are among those affected, our hearts are with you and your loved ones as you begin to navigate this challenging recovery.
We define the purpose of our classical music mission as building community. At a time like this, when so many of our neighbors and listeners are dealing with loss and disruption, we think our objective is best met by providing the Classical Oasis our audience depends upon.
We also know that many of you are directing your resources to the efforts to aid those affected by the storm, and we commend you for that generosity. Here is list compiled by Davidson College of reputable organizations involved in the Western North Carolina relief efforts. We hope you find it useful.

Our own financial needs remain, but we will address them at a later date. In the meantime, if fall is when you generally make your gift to WDAV, or you still wish to contribute at this time for any other reason, you can make that donation at our website, wdav.org.
In appreciation for your support during this challenging time, we commit ourselves to assist the aid effort. For every $100 we raise between now and October 11th, we will donate a case of bottled water toward Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
