Bach Reconstructed
Program: Biscuits & Bach
Aired: Sunday, December 30, 2018 @ 7:00 am
Hosted by Rachel Stewart
Antoine Lohmann was born in Amsterdam in 1969 and she is regarded as one of the world’s finest baroque violinists today. She and her ensemble released this album of Bach reconstructions in 2010. These performances give an honest sense of how Bach himself may have heard these works performed in local coffee houses of the day. This week we’ll enjoy several tracks from the album which demonstrates the versatility of Bach’s music.
