Both Sweelinck and Monteverdi served as bridges between the Renaissance and Baroque, active at opposite ends of the European continent. Both also have significant birthdays in 2020, and on this edition of With Heart and Voice, we’ll celebrate their music, as well as other May birthday composers: Brahms and Fauré.
