Cecilia and Sol
Program: Biscuits & Bach
Aired: Sunday, February 25, 2018 @ 7:00 am
Hosted by Rachel Stewart
Of all instruments, the cello has a range closest to that of the human voice. A new album from soprano Cecilia Bartoli and cellist Sol Gabetta explores the complementary nature of their respective "instruments."
Cecilia and Sol: Dolce Duello is a stunning collaboration and features Baroque masterpieces from Vivaldi, Handel, Gabrieli, Albinoni, and more, and it’s the featured album this week.
And Rachel will talk with Bridgette Lacy about her book, Sunday Dinner: a Savor the South Cookbook, which celebrates the South’s favorite meal of the week.
Purchase Featured CD: Bartoli, Gabetta: Dolce Duello
