Delicious and Satisfying
Program: Biscuits & Bach
Aired: Sunday, January 19, 2020 @ 7:00 am
Hosted by Rachel Stewart
Repast Baroque Ensemble named themselves after the word for meal or feast because they believe a concert should be delicious and satisfying. Their latest album, Bach: Goldberg Variations, gives this cherished work a brand new treatment. Repast Baroque Ensemble have created a unique arrangement of the Goldbergs, originally for keyboard, for their small ensemble of five players. We sample it this week and are optimistic listeners will find it indeed satisfying.
