Polish harpsichordist, Marcin Świątkiewicz, is one of the foremost Polish harpsichordists of his generation. He recently released a recording of three Bach harpsichord concertos featuring a small chamber ensemble, essentially a string quartet, which resembles the type of ensemble Bach might have heard. We'll sample this new album this week.
And Rachel talks with TJ Smith, editor of the revised edition of The Foxfire Book of Appalachian Cookery, which documents the foodways of Southern Appalachia through the recipes and stories of its people. Listen and learn about foods like 'leather breeches' and ramps.
