Organ Concertos

Handel's Organ Concertos, Op. 7 were written between 1740 and 1751, but they weren't published until 1761 which was after his death. Their purpose was to provide interstitial music during performances of the composer's oratorios. These days they are highly regarded works in their own right. This week we'll revisit the 2009 recording made by the Academy of Ancient Music and Richard Egarr who plays the chamber organ of the Handel House Museum in London.
