Pianist Murray Perahia is widely celebrated for his artistry and musical expression. In 2007 he extended his repertoire into the Baroque era with a recording of keyboard pieces by Handel and Domenico Scarlatti. This week we'll hear Perahia's facility and sensitivity in adapting these works for the piano, an instrument that was not around when they were composed.
We also celebrate St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music and musicians, whose feast day is November 22nd.
