American Rachel Barton Pine is one of the most acclaimed violinists working today. Her interests and repertoire are wide-ranging. She plays everything from classical to folk to heavy metal. Over the course of her career, she’s recorded several Baroque albums. This week we’ll sample tracks from her Bach and Handel albums as well as a recording called “French Soiree” dedicated to the French Baroque.
And Rachel talks with Elizabeth Lenti, Artistic Director of The Choir School at St. Peter’s in Charlotte, about the challenges of singing Bach and about her personal relationship to Bach’s music as an organist.
