Tribute to Aaron Rosand
Program: Biscuits & Bach
Aired: Sunday, July 19, 2020 @ 7:00 am
Hosted by Rachel Stewart
A year ago, the world lost internationally acclaimed violinist and teacher, Aaron Rosand, at age 92. This week we’ll listen to some of the baroque music recordings he made with his beloved 1741 Guarnerius del Gesu violin.
And we'll revisit a conversation with conductor JoAnn Falletta recorded at Brevard Music Center a few years ago. Normally, Falletta would be leading concerts at Brevard this time of year, but the coronavirus has put the music festival on hiatus. She'll talk about the food in the various cities where she has led orchestras over the years.
Listen to JoAnn Falletta.
