Tribute to Tafelmusik
Program: Biscuits & Bach
Aired: Sunday, May 17, 2020 @ 7:00 am
Hosted by Rachel Stewart
One of the most renowned and active period instrument ensembles of the past 40 years is Tafelmusik, which is based in Toronto. From 1981-2014 they were led by violinist Jeanne Lamon, and under her leadership, they toured widely and made more than 70 recordings. This week we hear tracks from several of them, including the 1991 album they made with the late Dutch cellist Anner Bylsma.
