Trinity and Trill
Program: Biscuits & Bach
Aired: Sunday, October 30, 2022 @ 7:00 am
Hosted by Rachel Stewart
Tune in this week for a cantata Bach wrote for the 20th Sunday after Trinity which is observed this week in the western Christian tradition. We'll hear his Cantata BWV 180, "Adorn yourself, my soul, with gladness" performed by the Leonhard Consort, Collegium Vocale, the Hannover Boys' Choir, and soloists with conductor Gustav Leonhardt. We'll also get ready for Halloween with Tartini's famous "Devil's Trill" Sonata, a composition he said was given to him by the devil in a dream.
