Program: Charlotte Symphony In Performance
Aired: Saturday, August 20, 2022 @ 6:00 pm
Hosted by Mike McKay
Christopher Warren-Green opened the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra's celebratory 90th season with a program highlighting Italian contributions to classical music, including works by Respighi and Mascagni. Violinist Paul Huang returned to Charlotte for Vivaldi's depiction of The Four Seasons. The four virtuosic vignettes of Vivaldi's Four Seasons capture the essence of the seasons and paint a brilliant picture evoking the sights, sounds, and feelings of each time of year.
