Rachel Stewart
Rachel was bitten by the radio bug her freshman year at Davidson College when she was lucky enough to land a work-study job at WDAV. What started out as a few hours a week cataloging and shelving LP’s and mailing reel-to-reel tapes turned out to be the perfect outlet for her burgeoning interest in music and blossomed into a lifelong career in radio and new media.
She currently is the Content Director and hosts middays and Biscuits & Bach on Sunday mornings. Rachel has served WDAV as a part-time announcer, Operations Director, Production Director, Program Director and New Media Director over the years and worked as a campus Coordinator of Student Computing Services at ITS (Information Technology Services). Rachel has left the station a couple of times to travel and work in faraway places such as Japan and Scotland, but has always managed to find her way back to her roots at WDAV and Davidson.
